Riverside Coomera

First Christmas party at the River House!

6 December 2018 by Terence Moyana

Residents at Seachange Riverside Coomera have celebrated their first Christmas party at the newly opened River House.

With the great weather and the stunning views of the Coomera River, it was the perfect setting for a wonderful evening.  It was an occasion where not only neighbours but friends came together to share memories and tell stories of the past year.

The Christmas spirit was fully embraced by all residents of this growing community, who dressed up accordingly to the occasion and prepared delicious food to share with each other.

What better way to celebrate the start of the festive season than spreading good cheer among friends. We wish everyone a very merry Christmas and look forward to a ‘bright’ 2019.

Opening of the River House

19 November 2018 by Adam Stead

The River House at Seachange Coomera was very well received by residents that live at this vibrant and growing community. This facility was officially opened on the 9th November.

Following the symbolic cutting of a red ribbon, residents of the resort and their guests were welcomed to enjoy champagne and canapés, a live Jazz band and panoramic views of the Coomera River.

The River House is one of two recreational facilities to be built at Seachange Riverside Coomera and will become a social hub for this growing new community.

Internally there is a library, billiards and darts, as well as a kitchen and dining area which flows out to a large under cover deck area with BBQs overlooking the heated lap pool.

One of the most spectacular features of the River House is the outlook.  The building has been positioned to take advantage of the elevated position and views out over the tranquil river front and green farmland beyond.

Cultivating more than veggies

19 November 2018 by Adam Stead

Nestled near the stunning River House and Bocce Court at Seachange Riverside Coomera is the newly community garden. Officially opened on the 26th October, this garden has already seen residents involved and excited about growing organic vegetables and fruits.

Resident Wil Beekman has played an integral role in establishing this garden at an early stage as she started planting vegetables and herbs early in October. “I love the idea of being able to come and pick up fresh veggies for my salads. I used to have a veggie garden at my house and I like that I can continue doing it here”, she said.

Maureen Jones, the very first resident at Seachange Riverside Coomera, also showed great interest as she is an active member of a local gardening club in the Gold Coast.

Comprised within this garden are a variety of citrus trees, vegetables, fruit and herbs. The garden also has some fabulous decor and features that complement the different produce and its scenic surrounds.

The community garden, within Seachange Riverside Coomera, is a great way to grow food, foster good health, and cultivate vibrant friendships.

At Seachange we believe that active people are happy and healthy people, and a true sea change is not just changing where you live, but how you live. It should be in first-class facilities that allow you to continue enjoying the fruits of friendships, the benefits of community and a healthy active lifestyle.

Seachange Riverside Coomera, the Gold Coast’s newest riverfront resort designed for over 50s, offers residents a community and style of active living that alleviates those typical doubts that people may have when making the decision to change or downsize their home – starting from $439,000.

A day in the life at the resort demonstrates the benefits that downsizing offers. From low-maintenance homes to being among like-minded people who want to preserve the routines that shape their daily lives and remain engaged.

Resort to a Sea Change

5 October 2018 by Adam Stead

As seen in the Home Magazine of the Courier Mail, 11 August 2018 by Emily Black

Pradella has swapped terms such as “retirement living” for “lifestyle resorts”, in a bid to more accurately reflect their latest offering for the over-50s’ markets.

Pradella Director of Sales and Marketing Alex McMahon said with more than five million Australians expected to be aged 65 or over by 2025, they were taking the opportunity to change the face of the retirement sector.

Mr McMahon said the company was expanding its range of residential projects with the release of architecturally designed homes in prime locations for the exclusive use of over 50s.

“We brought this approach to our Upper Coomera and Toowoomba projects and made modifications to the masterplans to create designs that will grow with the community and help create a truly better place to live,” he said.

“Today’s Baby Boomers have high expectations for their retirement lifestyle, so location and design of the home are both vitally important.

“As a developer of over 50s communities our focus weighs heavily on these aspects, it’s why we invest a lot of time into researching market trends, finding the right sites, developing masterplans and creating homes that respond to the needs of modern seniors.”

Mr McMahon said with stage one already completed at Seachange Riverside Coomera, stage two had now been released to potential buyers.

“First homes have settled with residents moving in from April 2018,” he said, “The river house with a pool, bocce court, yoga studio, library, barbecue, kitchen and bar is due for completion on October 31,” he said.

“The country club is due for completion in November 2019.”

Riverside Coomera Construction Update

28 May 2018 by Adam Stead

To mark the 12 month anniversary since the purchase of the development, it’s important to understand the journey that has taken to produce the Gold Coast’s latest boutique over 50s lifestyle resort.

In May 2016, Pradella acquired the riverfront development at Upper Coomera. The Seachange Philosophy demands that our resorts are only ever positioned in unique and premium locations. Positioned 6 minutes off the M1 and within a 2-minute drive from shopping, medical and transport, all of the services and amenities that the over 50s demographics needs and wants are close by. The stunning riverfront position of the site is truly unique, offering wide vistas across the water to open hinterland.

In the 12 months since the parcel of land was acquired we have; obtained 2 development approvals, commenced the construction of 25 homes and completed 15 of these properties with 4 residents having moved in during April and May. Underlying demand on the Gold Coast has pushed Pradella to commence the stage 2 of civil works on the development with an estimated completion time of October 2018.

Understanding the importance of delivering a high-quality development, Seachange focused on delivering a truly unique lifestyle resort that really took advantage of its natural surroundings and the elements that provided the inspiration for the initial purchase. With sandstone block work, hardwood post and rail fence features, textured concrete, long boardwalks through open green space, the development is truly beginning to showcase what this amazing site will look like as a finish product.

Understanding the importance of the delivery of amenity upfront, Seachange has committed the commencement of construction on one of its 2 facilities; the River House. It is positioned on the eastern boundary and connects directly to the riverfront. The River house will feature library, billiards room, kitchen and will connect seamlessly on to the large open alfresco decking onto the pool overlooking the beautiful Coomera River.

Much is said about the benefits of community living and this resort’s amenity will allow Seachange’s first residents to connect with family, friends and their neighbours in an environment that promotes relaxed living and never-ending options for activities and entertainment.
