Why 2016 Will Be Even Better than 2015 at Seachange Arundel

24 February 2016 by Terence Moyana

The most popular active adult community in Queensland just keeps getting better and better and the main reason is you.

2015 was a great year at Seachange Arundel. We would like to thank all of our residents, especially those who came on board in 2015, for making it such a great year. Each year, we keep growing, adding more residents and have become the best active adult community in Queensland, if the feedback we get from a growing legion of happy, active residents is any indication.

Here are some of the reasons we feel 2016 will be our best year ever.

The ‘$25,000 Seachange Moment Refer a Friend’ Program

Though the program began in 2015, it is due to run until 31 March 2016. One lucky person is going to win an 11 day APT Kimberley Coast cruise for two. The cruise is valued at $25,000. All you have to do is refer a friend to attend or visit one of our resorts prior to the 31 March 2016 and both you and your friend will be entered in the draw.

The trip will depart Brisbane 28th August 2016 and return 9th September 2016. The winners will be transferred from Seachange to the Brisbane Airport, where they will board a Qantas economy flight to Darwin. Once in Darwin, they will be transferred to a hotel in Darwin for a one night accommodation in a Doubletree Hotel by Hilton or a similar property. The room will include breakfast.

The winners will then be transferred to the MS Caledonian Sky for an 11 day Darwin to Broome Kimberley cruise. Upon reaching Broome, they will be transferred to a hotel for another one night accommodation. They will then be transferred to the Broome airport where they will fly back to Brisbane on a Qantas economy flight and transferred from the Brisbane Airport back to Seachange.

Think of it: refer a friend to visit one of our Gold Coast based lifestyle resorts and have a chance to win $25,000 APT cruise. This is a huge giveaway and this alone is enough to make it our best year, but there’s more.

The Best Active Adult Living in Queensland

We built Seachange Arundel on the concepts of friendship, fun and fitness. We created the kind of community that we would like to live in when in our golden years. In this blog, we have referred to numerous studies on the benefits of exercise. To make a long story short, people who make social interaction and exercise a part of their day on a regular basis live longer, healthier, happier lives.

At Seachange Arundel, we have created a perfect environment: a friendly, active community of like-minded people. When you move to Seachange Arundel, you will find a community full of people like you: experienced, active and friendly. All this, and the amenities of a 5-star country club, located in one of the greatest places to live in the state, in the heart of Queensland’s Gold Coast. If you prefer to live a private lifestyle, that’s fine, too. You will still find the facilities and amenities to be world class and thoroughly enjoyable.

Why Seachange Arundel Residents Cruise Together

28 October 2015 by Terence Moyana

In an active adult community like Seachange Village Arundel, our residents have everything they need right in the community to have a great life. That being said, they love taking advantage of our Gold Coast location to find other things to do, too. One of the most fun things for a lot of our residents is cruising.

So, why do our residents like to cruise together? It starts with our original vision when we created Seachange Arundel. We created Seachange Arundel to be a world class over 50’s resort where like-minded people could become a community. It is a place where people live because they want to, in an area where many dream of living.

Have Fun with Friends

Because of our commitment to our core principles of friendship, fun and fitness, our residents develop a great network of friends with whom they can enjoy everything life has to offer. Our 5-star country club and our Village Green combine to offer activities such as tennis, swimming, lawn bowling, BBQ and many other opportunities to interact.

In addition, we are situated right next to Coombabah Lakelands Conservation Area, which is a great place to walk, whether for pleasure, exercise or both. While our residents love it here, they also love to partake in other activities such as the numerous golf courses in the area or a trip to the beach.

The Perfect Getaway

Once in a while, it’s nice to take advantage of one of the three cruise lines that operate in the Brisbane area. Cruises are a great way to “get away” from caring for your garden or pool and be able to change your routine. There are a host of entertainment options available on cruises. There are plenty of daily activities and themed parties at night.

Our residents love to go cruising in a group because they have so much in common and develop great friendships. They love to travel in a group and create new memories. Cruising is convenient because great meals are provided. All you really have to do is show up and have fun.

Most of all: you don’t have to worry about leaving your home for it’s safe within the gated community.

Seachange cruises to success with word of mouth sales

18 September 2015 by Terence Moyana

WORD of mouth has proved the best sales tool for Gold Coast over 50s resort Seachange, with more than 50 per cent of recent sales being introduced by existing residents.

More than 300 residents recently attended the launch of Seachange’s new referral program, which aims to tap into this form of promotion.

Referees will go in the draw to win an exclusive ms Caledonia Sky expedition to the Kimberley for two people. The 11-day Kimberley Coast cruise visits attractions like King George River and Falls, Montgomery Reef, Jar Island and Prince Frederick Harbour. The prize, valued at $25,000, includes tours, flights and transfers.

The new referral program is being undertaken in unison with leading travel provider APT and is open to anyone who introduces a friend to either of Seachange’s two Gold Coast based communities.

“Most of our Seachange residents heard about our communities through word of mouth and we believed this campaign would be a great way to give back to our loyal supporters,” said Seachange Project Director Phil Goodman.

“Although traditional advertising is still extremely valuable, we believe that strengthening relationships with our existing homeowners and continuing to deliver an exceptional product will be one of the best ways of increasing awareness of the Seachange brand. It’s an exciting time for the Seachange brand, which is focused on delivering vibrant and active lifestyles for over 50s.”

Seachange – which has luxury resort communities totalling nearly $300 million on the Gold Coast – believes word of mouth advertising is the way of the future and will become a growing focus for the burgeoning over 50s property sector.

Seachange Village Arundel and Seachange Village Emerald Lakes are designed to deliver active over 50s a happy and healthy life amongst like-minded people. Both communities offer architecturally designed homes and access to a five-star country club that nourishes the mind, body and soul. The country club includes luxury facilities such as dining areas, club lounges, games rooms, library, cinema, craft room, workshop, floodlit tennis courts, indoor heated pool and outdoor lagoon pool, spa and gym, sauna and dance floor.

Seachange delivers the best for boomers with new country club

18 September 2015 by Terence Moyana

The expansion of Pradella Property Ventures’ Seachange Emerald Lakes continues with the launch of its $4 million state of the art country club – believed to be one of the best of its kind in an over 50s lifestyle resort in Australia.

Members of the political, business and property communities as well as residents of the $75 million community attended the opening of the five-star country club, located in the heart of Emerald Lakes, on Wednesday in a VIP gala event.

Leading social commentator and author, Bernard Salt, who was the feature speaker on the evening, welcomed the addition of the new country club.

With baby boomers currently driving the Gold Coast’s powering property market, Mr Salt said Seachange Emerald Lakes was the right fit for the demographic, which valued amenities within walking distance, along with connectivity.

“Baby Boomers and beyond prize lifestyle rich amenities with close proximity to shopping, dining and major entertainment facilities,” he said.

He stated that quality over 50s communities that promoted healthy, vibrant and active lifestyles such as Seachange Emerald Lakes were in short supply.

The launch of the country club follows the sale of over 50 per cent of the boutique community in just 12 months. The first residents moved into the estate late last year.

Seachange Emerald Lakes project director Phil Goodman said the completion of the country club marked an exciting time for the community and its residents.

“We have been eagerly awaiting the completion of the country club as we look to extend our community and welcome more residents into our wonderful resort,” he said.

“We our proud to be setting the benchmark in over 50s lifestyle resorts offering a country club with amenities that will nourish our resident’s minds, bodies and souls.”

Designed by Wiltshire Stevens Architects and built by Alders Construction, the country club is a multi-use building designed to foster a sense of community, with residents doing just that the very next morning, swapping stories of the night over a cup of tea in the Gallery.

The country club features an indoor gym, library, cinema, craft room, outdoor terrace, function space, indoor and outdoor pools, and tennis court.

Wiltshire Stevens architect Dean Wiltshire said the club was designed to be “sophisticated yet relaxed” and appeal to a high-end clientele.

“We wanted the building to be timeless, so we have used a lot of stone and strong lines. We also wanted to generate a bit of excitement with the roof forms,” he said.

He said the club captured a variety of views, from the lake to the nearby Metricon stadium.

Viewings are by appointment through the onsite Sales Centre on 1800 559 669.

Seachange for Brisbane Retirees

19 August 2015 by Terence Moyana

Brisbane retirees Ben & Ruth Benelisha swapped their inner city home of Brisbane for a lifestyle change at Seachange Village Arundel over 50s lifestyle resort – which is currently setting the benchmark in over 50’s resort style living at the Gold Coast.

WHEN Ben and Ruth Benelisha retired, they knew it was time for a sea change. Retirement for us was about enjoying a vibrant, active lifestyle that afforded us freedom, independence and security,” Ben said.

“Although we had enjoyed our time in Brisbane, we were tired of the constant gardening and home maintenance. It was time for a change.”

The couple swapped their suburban Brisbane home in favour of coastal lifestyle change at the award winning over 50s lifestyle resort, Seachange Village Arundel on the Gold Coast.

Located in an established suburb in the centre of the Gold Coast, Seachange Village Arundel is successfully enticing retirees with its ‘easy resort living’. The community offers modern, low-maintenance living in a secure gated complex and a five-star Country Club with facilities including a pool and cinema.

“We fell in love with Seachange Village Arundel immediately,” Ruth said.

“We were fortunate to take a guided tour with one of the existing residents and they were able to tell us how much they enjoyed living at Seachange.

“They had made some great new friends and they enjoyed a huge variety of recreational and social activities every week. They had the freedom to enjoy a relaxed easygoing lifestyle or one that was a bit more action packed.

“We knew that Seachange Village Arundel was the perfect solution for us.”

The Benelishas purchased a home in the village, where prices start from $469,000. All homes are single-level dwellings set amoungst lush landscaping that provides a sense of peace an tranquility. Every home is drenched with premium finishes featuring 2.7m ceilings, stone benches and European appliances.

Best of all, they say they don’t have any maintenance worries. All lawn and garden maintenance is taken care of by Seachange Village Arundel.

“I’ve finished with all that outdoor work – I can watch one of the in-house landscapers do it for me,” said Mr Benelisha.

The couple has taken to village life with enthusiasm. They help run the communities Welcome Centre, they dance, organise parties and walk in the adjacent conservation listed Coombabah Lakelands Recreation Reserve to which the community has direct access.

They also regularly access the world class 5-star Country Club which is integral to the Seachange Village Arundel lifestyle.

The Country Club also hosts the Moncrieff University of the Third Age (U3A) campus. Residents are able to participate in a variety of courses available, along with U3A members.

They can also join the multitude of social groups that have formed at the Club.

“We love living at Seachange,” Ruth said.

“Everything we need is at our fingertips – there’s a shopping centre across the road and we enjoy taking walks in the wetland reserve next door. There’s a bus stop outside, the Helensvale Train Station is just 5km away and it’s also an easy drive to Brisbane to visit family and friends via the M1.”

Seachange Project Director Phil Goodman said a growing portion of residents at both Seachange Village Arundel and its sister community, Seachange Emerald Lakes, were coming from Brisbane.

“Many former city dwellers like Ben and Ruth are escaping the rat race and moving to the area,” he said.

“The Gold Coast is emerging as Queensland’s retirement capital with the highest number of over 50s lifestyle resorts in the region, and Seachange Village Arundel and Seachange Emerald Lakes are leading the pack.

“Seniors are seeking the low maintenance rewarding nature of lifestyle resorts after a lifetime of mowing lawns and cleaning pools.

“Seachange Village Arundel offers them the ultimate alternative – spacious homes, luxury fittings and gardens that are fully maintained”.

He said he expected more city dwellers to flock to the new Seachange Village Emerald Lakes as construction on its five-star Country Club neared completion. Like the Country Club at Seachange Village Arundel, it will offer a wealth of facilities like a heated pool, craft room, lounges, dining areas and more.

“At Seachange, our residents are discovering that they have more time to nourish their minds, bodies and souls and love the way they live.”
