Seachange golf day a hole in one

16 December 2014 by Terence Moyana

RESIDENTS from the five star over-50s resort Seachange Village Arundel took part in the annual Seachange Golf Day held for the first time at the Emerald Lakes golf course.

Seachange project director Phil Goodman said the golf day was just one of the many activities and events Seachange Village Arundel offered over 50s seeking a vibrant, active healthy lifestyle.

“The event was a huge success with more than 100 people attending including Seachange residents, purchasers from the new Seachange Emerald Lakes and staff and suppliers,” he said.

“We were delighted to host the Seachange Golf Day this year, an event that helped bring together our residents and promoted our philosophy to nourish their minds, bodies and souls.”

The Ambrose competition began with a shotgun start and concluded with drinks, dinner and presentation of prizes at the Emerald Lakes clubhouse.

The event was also supported by local retailers and the ninth hole was sponsored by local Woolworths Carrara; with the store’s manager handing out bottled water and juice and fresh fruit.

St George Bank sponsored the 17th hole with the happy dragon mascot handing out gift bags.

Nearly $1,000 in gold coin donations were raised for Camp Quality, who were raising awareness for their Dash for Cash event happening on December 7.

Mr Goodman said the centrepiece of Seachange Arundel was the five-star country club that had something to suit everyone’s preferences.

It features a function room and bar, gymnasium, cinema, library, billiard room, computer room, workshop, art room, indoor heated lap pool, spa, sauna, large outdoor pool, lawn bowls and floodlit tennis courts.

Seachange is at 299 Napper Road, opposite the Arundel Plaza Shopping Centre, Arundel Plaza Medical Centre and Arundel Tavern.

Seachange in Demand

16 December 2014 by Terence Moyana

PRADELLA Property Ventures has unveiled a new on-site sales centre at its $75 million over 50s gated country club estate, Seachange Emerald Lakes, as it prepares to release new homes to cope with demand.

The Inlet Drive display follows this month’s fast-track release of additional stage two homes. Construction is also progressing, with work well under way on the first new homes, and Gold Coast company Alder Constructions poised to start on the estate’s five-star country club.

Seachange Emerald Lakes project director Phil Goodman said the construction was helping to drive interest in the community.

“We expect inquiries will only increase with the opening of the new on-site sales centre,” he said.

“Buyers can start to get a sense of what it is like to live in the Seachange Emerald Lakes community.

“They can view first-hand the spectacular location and the superb quality of the fixtures and fittings.”

Gold Coast City Councillor Bob La Castra (Division 8) said residents over 50 had embraced the community. “Times change, people change and their needs and requirements change,” Cr La Castra said.

“Over 50s are more active and healthier than they have been in previous generations.

“They’re not ready to put on their slippers and just sit in front of the fire.”

The project includes 126 architecturally designed, threebedroom freestanding homes.

The country club will have an indoor heated pool, tennis court, private cinema, gym, wellness centre and access to the Emerald Lakes championship golf course.

Nearby are 13km of walking and bike tracks, a retail and commercial precinct, restaurants and cafes.

The community has direct access to the M1 motorway to Brisbane, it is a five-minute drive to the Nerang Rail link and a 10-minute drive to Broadbeach.

Construction November 2014

We welcomed our first residents to Seachange Emerald Lakes this month, with two homes now being occupied in Australia’s first over 50’s gated country club estate.

The front entry is now fully operational and 95% of internal roads are complete. The indoor pool area has been excavated and the frames of the first three park side homes have been erected.

Construction October 2014

The month of October was very busy with 60% of internal roads completed.

Three waterfront homes on the western side of the bridge had their footings excavated and are ready to pour.

Footings were also poured for the first 5 park side homes.

The front entry block walls were erected and the gate house and buggy entry is under construction.

Stairs to the eastern side of the bridge were completed and Alders have erected fencing around the country club site.

Resident recommendations at Seachange generate strong family response

7 August 2014 by Terence Moyana

RESIDENTS at the Gold Coast’s premier over 50s active lifestyle community, Seachange Village Arundel, enjoy the vibrant lifestyle so much that they actively encourage their family and friends to join them.

A total over 200 sales enquiries have been generated by resident referrals.

Seachange Arundel is renowned for its strong sense of community and vibrant lifestyle. The village has a vast calendar of activities and events available at its 5 star Country Club and residents continue boast of the new friends they make and the number of great, like minded individuals living in the community.

“Baby boomers understand how living within a community like Seachange will nourish the mind, body and soul to extend their life,” Seachange Village Arundel Project Director Phil Goodman said.

“They also understand that downsizing their home at an earlier age will enable them to reduce the burden of traditional home ownership.”

Resident Jennifer Shepherd said she and her husband Paul loved living at Seachange so much that they persuaded her parents to make the move.

Harold and Annette McLean moved from northern NSW to Seachange in January.

“We knew straight away that Seachange would suit my parents,” Jennifer said.

“They had previously lived in a retirement village, then moved to a suburban home and found they missed the lifestyle and community. They both play bowls and Mum also plays tennis and loves line dancing.

“The main motivators for the move to Seachange included security, the compact design of their new home, access to shops and the medical centre across the road and being five minutes drive to the new Gold Coast Hospital. Being also able to live with family and friends in a community of like-minded people was an added bonus. Coincidentally they also found some past acquaintances lived here.”

Located centrally on the Gold Coast, Seachange Village Arundel sets the benchmark for over 50s lifestyle living and offers everyone you need right on the doorstop.

The centerpiece is the five-star Country Club, which includes one of the most extensive selections of social, recreational and educational facilities available in any over 50s lifestyle resort. The Country Club has something to suit everyone’s preferences and features a function room and bar, gymnasium, cinema, library, billiard room, computer room, workshop, art room, indoor heated lap pool, spa, sauna, large outdoor pool, lawn bowls and floodlit tennis courts.

Seachange Village Arundel is conveniently positioned opposite the Arundel Plaza Shopping Centre, Arundel Plaza Medical Centre and Arundel Tavern. It is also close to the new Gold Coast Hospital and light rail system and is within a short drive to the best of the Gold Coast’s beaches, golf courses, major shopping centres and the M1.

Seachange Village Arundel offers architecturally designed homes with a lifestyle to match. The village delivers flexible designs to accommodate the evolving needs of residents and outstanding community facilities.
