Over 50s Resort Promo: Refer a Friend and Win a Cruise

8 December 2015 by Shane Cresser

Referring a friend to our over 50s resort may be the easiest way you’ll ever get to take a cruise.

1. Register yourself and a friend online for the ‘Win a $25,000 Kimberley Cruise’ promotion
2. Both yourself and your friend visit one of our over 50s resorts on the Gold Coast.
3. Be in the draw to win.

That’s the short version. Here are some details.

You Deserve a Seachange

If you are 50 or older and you are active, we have built the perfect over 50s resort for you, on the Gold Coast.

Seachange Arundel and Emerald Lakes are built for active seniors who want to enjoy the rest of their lives with like-minded people in a world class over 50s resort.

Why You Want to Visit Seachange Arundel or Emerald Lakes

When we started Seachange Lifestyle Resorts, we conducted extensive research in retirement villages across the world.

We decided to change that. We wanted to build a retirement village where people would be ringing our phones off the hook because they wanted to live here. We wanted people over 50 to enjoy their lives and feel like all of that hard work they put in was worth it. In Florida, we finally found a lifestyle community that we would want to live in ourselves.

When we got back home, we wanted to be like that community, but even better. The results were Seachange Arundel and Emerald Lakes.

5 Star Facilities

The first thing we decided to do was build our communities around 5-Star facilities. Both of our locations are much more like an over 50s resort than the typical “lifestyle community.”

Seachange Arundel

In the award winning Seachange Arundel, our 5-Star Country Club is built to make residents feel they are in an extension of their living room. We want our residents to nourish their minds, bodies and souls at the Country Club, so we have provided the best in food, beverage, entertainment and sports facilities. These include a floodlit tennis court, a heated indoor pool and spa, championship lawn bowls, putting greens, a tennis pavilion, a steam room, a sports bar, pool tables, meeting rooms, a business centre facility, a residents’ kitchen, a dance floor, a wine cellar and much, much more.

Seachange Emerald Lakes

With the same mission as that of Seachange Arundel, the facilities are similar but retain their own unique identity. The facilities at Seachange Emerald Lakes include a gymnasium, indoor pool, outdoor pool, massage room, tennis court, steam room & sauna, fully equipped kitchen, BBQ facilities, dining facilities with stage area, cinema, arts & crafts room, bar, club lounge, dining room and more.

5 Star Lifestyle

We built Seachange on the principles of friendship, fun and fitness. Both lifestyle resorts are built to promote exercise and an active lifestyle. The residents are friendly and always ready to welcome more like-minded people to help make your retirement memorable.

It is easy to make action and interaction a regular part of your daily routine at both Seachange Over 50s Lifestyle Resorts. Within days, it is more likely than not that you will meet people who will be your friends for the rest of your lives. People over 50 have things in common that younger generations won’t understand. You never have to explain yourself at Seachange because your neighbours have lived through many of the same things you have.

Great Locations

At Seachange Resorts, you are within 5-10 minutes of golf, shopping, a railroad, the beaches and everything else the Gold Coast has to offer. While your town centre or country club in either community is wonderful, it’s always great to get out and enjoy Gold Coast amenities.

Resident Lecture Program with the Ageing Mind Initiative

16 November 2015 by Shane Cresser

Seachange Arundel’s new Resident Lecture Program has proven to be a hit with residents.

Our latest lecture saw UQ School of Psychology Professor Dr Nancy Pachana speak about her research on friendship and social support through later life.

Held on October 8 at our five-star Country Club, Dr Pachana discussed the importance of physical activity on both mood and health, providing residents with useful avenues to support and motivate the journey through their golden years.

Seachange Arundel Project Director Phil Goodman said Dr Pachana’s research through the Ageing Mind Initiative showed how community living could provide the over 50s with many enriching benefits.

“At its very core community living is a simple concept of like-minded people sharing common interests and interacting on a daily basis,” he said.

“The Ageing Mind Initiative closely aligns with the Seachange Vision, which encourages every resident to continue to nourish their mind, body and soul.”

Seachange Residents Tee Off at Charity Golf Day

16 November 2015 by Shane Cresser

Our second annual Seachange Golf Day Challenge has been heralded a ‘hole in one’ with more than 100 residents attending the popular sporting and social event. Residents from both communities had the opportunity to socialise and play with their neighbours, Seachange staff and local business supporters.

The Ambrose competition began at 12.30pm with a shotgun start. Teams enjoyed bottle water, juice and fresh fruit throughout the day from Woolworths Carrara. The event concluded with drinks, dinner and presentation of prizes at the Clubhouse.

Seachange Arundel was declared the overall winner with 924.5 points and Emerald Lakes Golf Club was the runner up with 1011 points.

The winning team achieved 55 points and was comprised of Kevin Seers, John Davies, Rick Ninness and Peter Bayada.

The second place team on 66.5 points was Phil Goodman, Dean Wiltshire, John McCann and Matt Langmack.

Last place on 88 points was Bob and Jenny Parmenter and John and Helen Dean.

Seachange Village Arundel Project Director Phil Goodman said the event helped bring together residents and invigorate their minds, bodies and souls.
“We look forward to holding the third annual event next year,” he said.

All proceeds from the day went to the Fred Hollows Foundation.

Seachange Arundel – 2015 Queensland Dual Industry Award Winner for Senior Living

12 November 2015 by Shane Cresser

Seachange Arundel continues to strengthen it’s position as Queensland’s most successful integrated communities for the active over 50s after winning at the prestigious 2015 UDIA Queensland Awards for Excellence.

The Pradella Property Ventures’ community was awarded the Seniors’ Living category of the prestigious awards, which recognise excellence in property development.

It caps off a successful year for Seachange Arundel, which also won the best Lifestyle Accommodation for Seniors category at the 2015 Master Builders Housing and Construction Awards announced earlier this year.

Seachange Arundel Project Director Phil Goodman said winning the UDIA award was a great honour for Seachange Arundel, which remained the most awarded over 50s lifestyle resort in Queensland.

He said it topped off an outstanding growth phase for the resort, which is expected to be sold by early April 2016.

“We are catering for the fastest growing segment of the Australian population who are demanding specific housing and facilities that give them lifestyle; buyers should act quickly to secure the best remaining homes”, he said.

“While many of our residents and prospective residents remain in the workplace – we estimate about a third – they no longer want or need the burden of a large home and backyards that require high maintenance.

“Seachange Arundel offers them the ultimate alternative – spacious homes, luxury fittings and gardens that are fully maintained”.

Integral to the Seachange Arundel lifestyle is the five-star Country Club, just a short walk from any home. Luxury facilities include dining areas, club lounges, games rooms, a library, bowls club, seven championship bowling rinks, 32-seat cinema with tiered seating, craft room, workshop, two floodlit tennis courts, indoor heated pool and outdoor lagoon pool, spa and gym, sauna, steam room, wine room and dance floor.

Seachange Arundel homes range from two bedroom terrace homes to three bedroom, free-standing designs, all of the traditional homes feature 2.7m ceilings, oversize double lock up garages and two bathrooms. They incorporate upmarket finishes including stone benches, ceiling fans, ducted air-conditioning and fully tiled floors.

The development is conveniently located across the road from a Coles-anchored shopping centre with retail, health care and commercial services. Seachange Arundel is also adjacent to the Coombabah Lakelands Conservation Area and within a five-kilometre drive of the Gold Coast University Hospital.
