Wrapping up a busy year for Seachange Riverside Coomera

17 December 2018 by Adam Stead

2018 has been a landmark year in the development of Seachange Riverside Coomera. The project was officially launched in February and construction of the first stage of the recreational facilities, the River House, was completed in November.

The Resort’s community is also growing, with more than 35 home owners making up this boutique community. The completion of the River House has paved the way for the start of the Resort’s activities and events program, which will continue to build the sense of community and allow this Resort to flourish. Friday night happy hour is already a firmly established routine for most residents, and a fishing club and community garden group have also kicked off. In the New Year, water aerobics, bocce and an art class will be added to the schedule of activities.

An exciting and significant milestone was reached this month with the start of construction of the Resort’s main Country Club.  In November, a contract in excess of $4 million dollars was signed with Hutchinson Builders for the construction of this building.   The start of the Country Club comes 6 months ahead of the original schedule and will be completed alongside the Resort’s main entry statement along Ghostgum Grove, which is due to be delivered by Easter 2019.

First Christmas party at the River House!

6 December 2018 by Terence Moyana

Residents at Seachange Riverside Coomera have celebrated their first Christmas party at the newly opened River House.

With the great weather and the stunning views of the Coomera River, it was the perfect setting for a wonderful evening.  It was an occasion where not only neighbours but friends came together to share memories and tell stories of the past year.

Our first residents at Seachange Toowoomba have moved in!

4 December 2018 by Terence Moyana

HAPPY RESIDENTS: Joe and Berris Robinson share with sales consultant Lorraine Walton (centre) how glad they are they made the move to Seachange Toowoomba

November has been an extremely busy month for Toowoomba’s newest over-50s lifestyle resort, Seachange Toowoomba.

The completion of the new Summer House and display homes has offered visitors the ability to experience the Seachange difference — in both the quality of design and delivery of the vision: to set a new benchmark in over 50s living in the Darling Downs Region.

Last week another major milestone was reached, with the first home owners moving into the resort.

Joe and Berris Robinson moved quickly to secure one of the first display homes, in a prime position on the corner of the resort’s wide and leafy Main Boulevard.

Joe and Berris have lived in many places all over Australia with Joe having been in the Air Force for 20 years, but have decided to settle in Toowoomba.

Toowoomba appealed to them as it offered everything they need in a city. It was also a convenient central base for them to continue travelling and enjoying their retirement.
Joe and Berris are no strangers to resort living, having lived in another two over-50s resorts outside of Toowoomba.

They knew that resort living offered an ideal setting to enjoy great facilities, the company of like-minded neighbours and the ability to ‘lock and go’ knowing that their home is secure and someone will maintain gardens and lawns in their absence.

After looking at the available options in Toowoomba, they visited Seachange and found that it offered them everything they were looking for in their forever home. The perfect size and layout, the overall masterplan of the resort and the high quality of finishes in both the home and facilities made it an easy and quick decision.

Seachange simply ticked all of their boxes and they look forward to moving in and watching their community grow around them.

Opening of the River House

19 November 2018 by Adam Stead

The River House at Seachange Coomera was very well received by residents that live at this vibrant and growing community. This facility was officially opened on the 9th November.

Following the symbolic cutting of a red ribbon, residents of the resort and their guests were welcomed to enjoy champagne and canapés, a live Jazz band and panoramic views of the Coomera River.

The River House is one of two recreational facilities to be built at Seachange Riverside Coomera and will become a social hub for this growing new community.

Internally there is a library, billiards and darts, as well as a kitchen and dining area which flows out to a large under cover deck area with BBQs overlooking the heated lap pool.

One of the most spectacular features of the River House is the outlook.  The building has been positioned to take advantage of the elevated position and views out over the tranquil river front and green farmland beyond.

Cultivating more than veggies

19 November 2018 by Adam Stead

Nestled near the stunning River House and Bocce Court at Seachange Riverside Coomera is the newly community garden. Officially opened on the 26th October, this garden has already seen residents involved and excited about growing organic vegetables and fruits.

Resident Wil Beekman has played an integral role in establishing this garden at an early stage as she started planting vegetables and herbs early in October. “I love the idea of being able to come and pick up fresh veggies for my salads. I used to have a veggie garden at my house and I like that I can continue doing it here”, she said.

Maureen Jones, the very first resident at Seachange Riverside Coomera, also showed great interest as she is an active member of a local gardening club in the Gold Coast.

Comprised within this garden are a variety of citrus trees, vegetables, fruit and herbs. The garden also has some fabulous decor and features that complement the different produce and its scenic surrounds.

The community garden, within Seachange Riverside Coomera, is a great way to grow food, foster good health, and cultivate vibrant friendships.

Seachange Toowoomba Opens

6 November 2018 by Adam Stead

Judging by the enthusiastic response at the official opening on November 1, with the symbolic cutting of a red ribbon into the complex, the Seachange Lifestyle Resort in Toowoomba is going to be a resounding success.

In perfect weather conditions a lively group of prospective residents invited to the opening chatted excitedly as they viewed the luxurious facilities the project will offer when completed. The construction of the resort – aimed at the over 50s – was only begun on February 22 of this year but it is already obvious that Seachange has a lot to offer to those looking for this type of lifestyle. So far a handful of the 162 homes planned for the boutique community have been completed.

To those viewing, the high quality of craftsmanship was evident as the homes are to be set amongst wide leafy boulevards and carefully constructed gardens. There was immediate feeling of comfort and homeliness for those wishing to downsize and to reduce their responsibilities without having to compromise.

Seachange Toowoomba offers two separate recreational facility precincts, The Summer House and Main Clubhouse. The resort is aiming to play host to a calendar of interesting events where residents can interact as a true community. The amenities that are being provided cover a range wide and disparate enough to satisfy everyone. These feature heated indoor and outdoor pools, a gymnasium, a tennis court, a bowling green and a sauna. There will also be a meeting room, lounge, art studio, commercial kitchen, cinema, woodworking shop and, for those wanting to relax at the end of the day, a bar.

Seachange Toowoomba is the latest project undertaken by Pradella Developments, which is among the leading development companies in the property market in south-east Queensland. The company is part of the Pradella Group, which was established in 1959 and has long been renowned for its quality products.
