Residents of over 50s lifestyle resort Seachange Emerald Lakes were invited to dress up their homes with Christmas Lights and participate in the inaugural Seachange Emerald Lakes Christmas Lights display.
Over 80 of the community’s residents attended the celebratory feast held on Sunday evening, 20th December.
Seachange Project Director, Phil Goodman, commended the residents on their community spirit.
‘The evening was a great success and to see almost all of the residents come together to join in and celebrate such a festive occasion is a tribute to their community harmony,’ stated Mr Goodman.
Prizes were awarded on the evening for Best Home and Most Artistic Home, with special mention going to original foundation resident, Yvonne Cole-Davidson, taking out Best Home.
Santa was seen cruising the streets of the community in a golf buggy in the lead up to the event, handing out treats to the youngest guests of residents.
The entertainment for the evening featured local Gold Coast identity Bruce Whalan, who had the residents up and dancing the night away late into the evening.
