Seachange Lights Up this Christmas

22 Dec, 2015

Seachange Arundel Residents’ 4th Annual Christmas Lights display was celebrated in a magical evening at the community’s 5 Star Country Club on Saturday 19th December. Over 400 residents, family, friends and members of the local community joined in the festivities, with a special visit by Santa topping off a truly wonderful evening.

Local Councillor William Owen-Jones was in attendance to announce the Christmas lights resident winners. Mr Owen-Jones stated Seachange was a glowing example of over 50s living and enjoyed being part of the annual festivities.

Family and friends of Seachange residents were invited to tour the community and view the resident Lights displays. Voting by residents and guests led to awards for the remarkable efforts and spectacular displays of numerous residents. Best Street was taken out once again by Narrabeen Street who celebrated the evening in style and community spirit with their own street party.

Entertainment for the evening included a performance by the residents’ choir, the Seachange Songbirds, who entertained all by performing an array of classic Christmas carols. Seachange Project Director Mr Phil Goodman commended the residents on their community spirit and lighting display efforts. The night also featured a special appearance by Santa and Mrs Claus by way of a less traditional mode of transport – a chopper motor cycle.

The evening festivities concluded with Seachange residents and guests presented with gifted Christmas puddings on behalf of the community management.
“It is our small way of saying thank you to the community for the support they provide the Seachange Lifestyle Resorts with throughout the year,’ stated Mr Goodman.

Special thanks are extended to the Arundel Tavern and Christmas Galore for their continued support.
