In the last month we had the pleasure of welcoming Tony Webster to the Seachange team as our new Arundel Community Manager! Tony is a man of many hats and skills with an energetic work ethic who thrives on a challenge and loves being able to mix it up, both at work and at home.
Prior to joining Seachange, Tony was a Superintendent throughout various mine villages throughout Queensland and Western Australia where he was responsible for creating mining villages that housed up to 10,000 miners. Tony originally came from a hospitality background where he was involved in opening 5 star international hotels as well as mentoring businesses. When asking Tony why he moved he says,
“It was time for a sea change, I have been there, done that and after spending a third of the past nine years away from my wife, it was time to come home”.
In his spare time, Tony is a 4WD enthusiast and it is through his love for taking his driving off the road that he can blend his two other passions together, photography and fishing. Tony’s ritual is to head out fishing each Sunday; however he is not too quick to disclose how successful he is at it – let’s just say he hasn’t taken many photos of the fish he has caught!
Within his current position of Community Manager, Tony shows such enthusiasm and passion. His priority is the people in the community followed by property maintenance and of course the finance aspects to ensure smooth managing of the community.
With a month under his hat, Tony is aware of the extent and importance of his role and is humbled by the abundance of volunteers and committees throughout the community. “The volunteers and committees contribute to making my job exciting and rewarding, which makes coming to work so great”.
